about John H. Lincoln

After receiving his Bachelor's Degree from Yale (1968), John worked for the Associated Press and traveled throughout Europe for several years. It was on the Spanish island of Mallorca that he met, and later married, his wife Carlotta.

They settled down in Santa Barbara, California, in 1973, where John enrolled in the graduate School of Drama at the University of California. He received an M.A. in Dramatic Arts (Scene Design and Technical Theater) from U.C.S.B. in 1974.

For over 25 years, John and Carlotta ran a successful design and importing business in Santa Barbara. With two grown children, they sold their company in 2000 and began to live for part of each year in the Mallorcan village where they first met, in 1971.

John was president of the Yale Club of Santa Barbara, 1996-2000. He has worked professionally as a writer, editor, photographer, videographer, designer, and multimedia author and producer.

He loves his family, and his Macintosh computers -- in that order, although sometimes it may not appear that way.
